New Technology Enables Taking 60 FPS Movies AND Selfies Inside Our Arteries!
You must have known what nanotechnology is after watching all those Sci-fi movies. But did you know that this nanotechnology can be put into your arteries and make its journey inside your body ?
A scientist named F. Levent Degertekin has developed exactly that. It is not just symbolic to this industry , but it functions extremely well.
So how does it function? The small chip that makes it up is round, with a 1.5 millimetre diameter and a 460 micron hole in the centre. That chip is basically the nucleus of the device, and it’s responsible for sensing and transmitting data collected. A small film on top catches sound waves through sensors placed on its chip. In simple words, it emits sound waves to capture the image.
So this is basically a small, ultrasonic imaging device with built-in transceivers to send the ultrasound echoes to an external receiver which assembles the sonic echos into images using computers. No, not HD, but yes 60 FPS, and 3D. It does not "see" images with any CCD, CMOS, or any photon sensor; it assembles Echos off differences in density from an emitted ultrasonic chirp. Sort of like echo-location in bats.
