Adidas and Puma
may be among the most recognized brands in the world, but neither might exist if not for a bitter rivalry between two brothers from a little-known village in Germany.

Adolf Dassler and Rudolf Dassler were brothers, and more than that they were Nazis! Yes, they were Hitler followers . They both started a shoe company in 1924 started a small shoemaking business in the Bavarian enclave of Herzogenaurach, focusing primarily on hand-sewn athletic footwear. They highly hated each other in everything. From selecting colours to Political parties. Rudolf was an Anti-Nazi secretly. Adolf having been hated by him turned him out to the Nazi Policemen. Rudolf after being punished returning back started a rivalry shop across the river, while Adolf sticked with what was started at first.

Later, Adolf renamed his shop "Adidas" and Rudolf registered his new shop "Puma". The World War II ended and the Shoe war started! The town of Herzogenaurach was divided on the issue, leading to the nickname "the town of bent necks". Even the town's two football clubs were divided: ASV Herzogenaurach club supported Adidas, while 1 FC Herzogenaurach endorsed Rudolf's footwear.

Two people, their Companies created industrial revolution, little that we know the reason behind it was a simple brother-fight.
