Piping hot,cooked field rats are one of the dishes on offer at most wild game restaurants in the city of Guangzhou,China

#2 Cow Brains,Indiana,USA

An unusual looking sandwich makes a regular appearance on the menu at The Hilltop Inn in Evansville,Indiana,USA,even though it is made of cow brains! Its origins are said to date back to a time when Dutch and German immigrants to southern Indiana wasted preciously little of anything,especially when it came to animals slaughtered for food.


#3 Dog's Paws,Japan 

Chinese chef Wang Min regularly presents barbecued dog paws at a Chinese restaurant in the Japanese Capital, Tokyo.Apparently,Japanese diners are generally unaware that dog is served in Chinese restaurants in their country,but this dish would leave them in little doubt.


#4 Tarantula spiders, Cambodia 

Cambodian people munch on tasty fried spiders as they pass through the Cambodian town of Skuon, known as 'Spider Town' to the locals.The spiders,which are collected from the countryside,are deep fried in salt and garlic.Customers wash the meal down with a bowl of medicinal tarantula wine, which is served with the rotting spiders' bodies still lying at the bottom of the bowl,with the fang intact to prevent it from losing the medicinal power!

#5 Wasp Cracker Biscuits, Japan

An item found in many menus in Japan ,a factory in the Japanese city of Omachi is the proud producer of rice cracker biscuits that contain the added protein of DIGGER WASPS.The "jibachi senbei" or "digger wasp rice cracker biscuit" is a delicacy commissioned by a Japanese fan club for wasps .Fan club members say that the extra ingredient adds a waspish note to the traditional flavor of the cracker biscuits.
