Nokia's current CEO Stephen Elop is about to move to Microsoft which acquired Nokia long time back. To fill his position, Rajeev Suri, a MIT(Manipal Institute of Technology) graduate is the nominee.
Nokia, the Finnish company is all set to welcome the new CEO of their company on Tuesday. Rajeev Suri, the CEO of Nokia Solution Networks(NSN) since 2009 is more likely to be the new CEO. He lives in Finland and has operated in Nokia for about 10 years. This man has been the leader of NSN for almost 5 years now and Stephen Elop has decided to move on to Microsoft. He is said to take the position of Stephen Elop and operate Nokia individually, still as the subsidiary of Microsoft. No idea why Nokia making this move, in fact its a personal move by Stephen Elop. Waiting for the fantastic changes that Rajeev will introduce to the Nokia and make it "Newkia". Rajeev Suri as a person is really humble and wonderful. He is a fitness enthusiast and is a travel buff. His improvements of the NSN has been massive and he is said to be a good leader. Nokia and everybody is excited to know if he will me the CEO of Nokia on Tuesday. A big day and a big moment for everybody. Rajeev Suri is the 2nd MIT graduate to achieve such a wonderful position. Before working in NSN he was working in India for Nokia as a operator. Every big thing starts small, ain't it? The Nokia X will be the last project presented by Stephen Elop. Stephen Elop was a great leader for Nokia and it's sad that he leaves but at the same time waiting who will be the new CEO. Certainty is that Rajeev Suri will be the CEO as there is no other nominee.
