You really should be very blessed if you've become a genius because of an injury! This is the case in Jason Padgett's life, as he suddenly became an mathematical genius after a brain injury! Scientists were researching on Padgett's case, how he suddenly became a genius. They seem to have made some progress and have found out the reason for this change-over! Jason Padgett was just an ordinary salesman in Tacoma, US. Twelve years ago, Padgett was assaulted by two men outside a karaoke bar. He sustained severe concussion and an injured kidney.

As he was recovering, Padgett felt something different in his way of seeing things! Padgett realized that everything he saw was made up of geometrical shapes! After then, he could draw complex geometrical shapes. A physicist, struck by Padgett's abilities, persuaded him to join college, where he is studying number theory. Scientists have said that this ability of Padgett was because of the brain injury he had twelve years ago! Padgett's parietal cortex appeared to have more active than before the brain injury. Scientists have earlier shown that when brain cells die, they release some chemicals to increase activity in surrounding area.
It appears that abilities like Jason's might be dormant in everybody's brain and get released after any injury!
It'll be awesome-blossom if we get super powers because of an injury!! And this is just a beginning for that!!
