Anirban Lahiri is now, the top Asian golfer after his victory at the Indonesian Masters. This victory not only made Anirban Lahiri the top Asian golfer, but also handed him a career-best rank of 67th in the world. The Bangalore boy worked out wonders to defeat Baek Seuk-Hyun of Korea. Anirban had achieved his previous career-best ranking of 99 earlier this March, and is showing lots of development in his game.
With the win win in Indonesia, Anirban Lahiri leapfrogged 35 places from his previous week standing of 102 in the Official World Golf Rankings released yesterday. Anirban Lahiri is now the second highest-ranked Asian player in the world behind Thongchai Jaidee. Anirban Lahiri is also expected to tie knots with long-time girlfriend Ipsa Jamwal, next month.
