As most of you would have observed on may 4th, Google doodle celebrated the 85th birthday of Audrey Hepburn. Because of her multi-national background, Hepburn was multi-lingual and was able to speak English, Dutch, French, Spanish, and Italian. As a little girl of 5, Audrey wanted to become a ballet dancer. By 1944, Hepburn had become a professional and a trained ballet dancer. Hepburn used this talent of her to collect money for the Dutch resistance. She was against Nazism and was trying to save the people from the Nazis and played a huge role in helping people during the holocaust.

Audrey Hepburn was beautiful as much as she was socially concerned. Audrey was one of the greatest stars, active during Hollywood’s Golden Age. Ranked the third greatest female screen legend by the American Film Institute, Audrey Hepburn was also inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. Audrey Hepburn has had a very drastic childhood. Audrey Hepburn and her mother moved to South east England, after their parents divorced. Only after the end of the World War II in 1945, Audrey began her career with “Dutch in Seven Lessons”. Many films poured in, and she became a great actress.

Audrey Hepburn began to reduce her acting as she was getting old. Later on, she totally spent her life serving to the most profoundly disadvantaged communities of Africa, South America and Asia. Audrey Hepburn was appointed as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Audrey Hepburn was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 1992 by the then U.S. President George.H.W.Bush.
